Checklist for Parents/Guardian of P1 Student in 2026

A warm welcome to the Raffles Girls’ Primary School family! We would like to share the following information and instructions with you to facilitate your child’s/ward’s smooth transition to our school.

P1 2026 onboarding checklist for parents and guardians

P1 Orientation	The P1 2026 Orientation will be held on 5 November 2025, from 2.00pm to 4.00pm. Please report to the school hall with your child/ward by 1.40pm. Please be informed that parking within school premises is strictly not allowed. If you are driving, you may park at Greenwood Avenue or along Watten Drive. We seek the cooperation of all parents/guardian to exercise due care and adhere to the traffic and parking rules so as not to cause obstruction and inconvenience to residents and other road users.
1. Communication By 29 Oct 2025	Parents Gateway (PG) is the main communication channel between the school and parents/guardian. Please download the app on your phone as all school updates will be sent through PG subsequently. Annex A - One-Time Onboarding (For Parents)
2. School Books Online Sales for self-collection during P1 orientation By 1 Nov 2025 Online Sales for self-collection during other periods By 13 Dec 2025	Online sales Parents/Guardian are encouraged to purchase the books online at www.pacificbookstores.com. Attached is the booklist for more information. Please be informed that the website will be opened during the following dates: (a) 27 October to 1 November 2025 (For 2026, P1 students only) Walk-in purchase (Venue: CCA Room) Please refer to the booklist for the available walk-in dates and payment modes. To shorten the waiting time, parents/guardian are encouraged to purchase the books online and reserve a time slot for pick up at www.pacificbookstores.com. As parents/guardian are not allowed to park in the school premises, it is recommended to bring along a trolley to carry the books if you are parking further away from the school. 3. Transportation Car Decal	Vehicles entering the school to drop off or pick up students are required to display a "Drive-through" car decal. Each household is given a complimentary car decal in their orientation package. Purchase of additional car decal at $10 each, can be done at the General Office during the school term. No sales of car decal on the orientation day. Payment is by cash or QR code at our General Office.

4. Student Care Centre (SCC) By 14 Nov 2025	The school-based SCC provides support for students without after-school care arrangements. You are invited to register your child if you are keen via the website at: http://www.knowledgepark.com.sg/rafflesgirlsscc by 14 November 2025, 5pm. 5.School Uniform By 15 Nov 2025	There is no sale of uniforms in the school. You may purchase them at Bibi & Baba Pte Ltd outlet or via their website: https://www.schooluniforms.sg/raffles-girls-primary-school Name tags will be ready for collection 5-8 weeks after the order date. Please purchase the name tags early to ensure that your child/ward has her name tags when school starts. Name tags are to be sewn beneath the school crest on both the pinafore and the PE attire. Students have PE lessons 3 days a week. On days with PE lessons, students are allowed to wear their PE attire under their pinafores. P1 & P2 students are to be in their PE attire during PAL lessons as well, which take place once a week. 6.Submission of Student Details Form From 1 Dec to 31 Dec 2025	1. As your child/ward will be starting Primary 1 in January 2026, the Ministry of Education (MOE) would like to collect necessary information about you and your child/ward to provide educational services for your child/ward in our schools. 2. Please check the PG notification for submission of the online Student Details Form portal from 1 Dec 2025.
7.Finance & Payment By 31 Dec 25	Parents/Guardian are to setup 1) eGIRO and 2) Edusave Standing Order by following the steps below: 1) eGIRO application Parents/Guardian will be able to sign up for eGIRO online, for payment of standard miscellaneous fees and school charges. The detailed eGIRO user guide is available at the MOE website. 2) Edusave Standing Order Signup (For students who are Singapore citizens only) Parents/Guardian can apply to use Edusave funds via Parents Gateway (under Services tab) or the online Edusave Standing Order Form, for the payment of 2nd-tier miscellaneous fees and school organised enrichment programmes.
8. Consent for Health Promotion Board	Parents/Guardian are to access the Child Consent Portal to update your child's/ward’s medical information and provide consent for immunisation and dental services. Please access the following websites for more information on: • Immunisations offered to primary school students - Student Immunisation • Screening services offered to primary school students - Health Screening for Primary School Students
9. Financial Assistance	The MOE Financial Assistance Scheme (MOE FAS) eligibility criteria and application process can be found at the MOE website. Parents can apply for MOE FAS using the e-FAS form which is available on Parents Gateway (under Services tab – Financial Assistance) via Singpass login. Students who do not meet the criteria for MOE FAS may consider applying for school-based FAS. You may contact the school at 6468 4377 or email rgps@moe.edu.sgif you have any further queries.
10.POSB Smart Buddy	The POSB Smart Buddy programme allows students to make cashless purchases in the canteen and school bookshop. Parents/Guardian can pre-set your child’s/ward’s daily allowance and monitor her expenditure via a mobile app. Parents/Guardian can sign up if you are keen. Cash and EZ-Link card payments are also accepted. More information is available on the POSB website.
11.Parent Volunteer Group (PVG)	The RGPS PVG is a registered society and works closely with the school to support students’ development. We encourage all parents/guardian with daughter(s)/wards(s) in the school to join the PVG. Parent Volunteer Group (PVG)
12.Alumni Association (AA)	The RGPS AA is a registered society and works closely with the school to encourage ex-students to connect with each other and create memories for the next generations of RGPS Girls. Every year, a pre-P1 gathering is hosted for the K2s to get to know each other through play before they start primary school the next year. Please see the attached for more information. There is no sale of uniforms in the school. You may purchase them at Bibi & Baba Pte Ltd outlet or via their website: https://www.schooluniforms.sg/raffles-girls-primary-school
