The Girls' Brigade Singapore establishes GB companies in schools to embrace, engage, equip, and empower girls and provide them with the best opportunity to fulfil her fullest potential.

Key Curriculum Components

1. The Juniors Badgework (STAR Programme)

Over the course of 4 years, GB girls go through a wide variety of activities and workshops to attain 16 different badges under 4 main categories.

Service

Be a hero through the little things you say and do at home, in school, and in your community! Bring cheer to the elderly in the nursing home!Enter a title for your first card.

Treasure

Discover what you love and what you're great at. Be an artist, performer - even an inventor! Pick up modern calligraphy and create keychains using 3D pen!

Adventure

Explore and go an adventure with us! Try out different sports like rock climbing and roller-blading!

Responsibility

Etiquette, Design Thinking, self-defence and First Aid are just some of the life skills girls acquire.

In addition to the above, girls earn GB Knowledge and Drill Badges.

2. Junior Leadership Training Camp (JLTC)

The JLTC is a national camp for selected girls who have displayed leadership potential. Girls are given the chance to shine through equipping them with skills and opportunities to lead their peers, and even adults through a series of practical and reflective workshops. Our Junior Leaders then get to work towards attaining the prestigious Junior Brigader Brooch.

3. Fast Food and Fuzz (FFnF) Camp

This national camp fosters empathy and deep generosity by challenging girls to understand the circumstances of vulnerable and homeless communities in Singapore.

4. GB Friend in Deed (GBFD)

This nationwide community service project has fulfilled personalized wishes for over 12,500 vulnerable individuals, including low-income families, elderly citizens, and persons with disabilities since it started in 2021. Girls and their families can adopt wishes such as household appliances, mobility aids, and educational tools, then pack and deliver them directly to the beneficiaries.

National Competitions

1. Drill Competition

Before the biennial Drill Competition cum Carnival, a team of girls train intensively in Music Drill to master synchronization and precision.

2. Dr Low Guat Tin (LGT) Challenge

The Dr Low Guat Tin Challenge encourages girls to seek creative ways to improve the lives of those around them – expanding the boundaries of their capabilities and empathy toward their world. The theme "Innovating Together for a Better Tomorrow” calls for innovative and creative ideas, presented through one of 4 different mediums, that will transform, help and improve 6 sectors of our society.
